Ahh the geoduck! This brings back memories of childhood. I don't remember the taste, but I sure remember harvesting those littler buggers! My grandfather had property in Rosedale near Gig Harbor. Only one time a year the tide was low enough to dig out the geoduck. So we'd put on our rubber boots, take the shovels and dig for the geoducks in the middle of the bay. Probably the reason why geoducks are so popular, is because they are so damn hard to get! But then again I was only 10 and didn't have the muscle to be of much help.

Thanks for bringing back the memories :)
