BRO. JEREMY PUMA, author of Mysteries of the Gnostic Ascent and The Face of the Sky and Earth: Meditations on the Gospel of Thomas, presents a free workshop on Gnostic contemplative practice. Developed over a period of ten years of study and practice, this method of inner exploration is based upon the wisdom of the ancient Gnostic texts discovered in Nag Hammadi, Egypt. It includes a meditation session. Bro. Puma, Minister, is the founder of the Palm Tree Garden, an international community of Gnostics. A book signing will follow.

Is there any physical element to the meditations? What book did that crazy archon body diagram come from? Apocryphon of John? Do you still have that online? I think I get what they are talking about now with it.

How do you mean physical element? Pretty typical stuff– incense, prayer, stillness, etc. It’s basically gonna be a guided meditation through the ‘Gnostic Ascent’ book o’ mine.
Yeah, it was the Apocryphon of John (SJn). I do still have the diagram:

Keep in mind that the diagram is essentially something I came up with whole-cloth, but feel free to use it/expound/extrapolate– I’d be interested in what you think!
(Oh and scholarship pretty much thinks that the whole section of SJn that I took this from was added later. Not that this makes a difference to me, but just fyi.)

By “physical element” I am referring to controlled use of muscles. I’ll write about it more later, but each of the archons could be thought of as an autonomous program which has been wired into the body at an open-imprint learning point, and then reinforced through repeated use. The meditation upon each of these archon control centers (Reich’s body armor, I believe) ought to have a corresponding physical component which is designed to over-ride imprinted patterns (through conscious pain), and give back to the brain direct control over sensory data sources which have laid dormant. By opening up all areas of the body to direct access and control by the brain-mind (yoga), you throw down the power of the archons and unravel the false self-world of the demiurge.
